What we are not going to do

It is easier to describe a product by what it promises. We would rather start with the opposite, because that is the part you can actually check.

    We predict nothing

    Not the future, not outcomes, not what someone else will do. The I Ching has been read this way for eighteen hundred years: the yili school treats it as a book for analysing situations, not for divination. If what you want is to know what will happen, this tool is no use, and we would rather you knew before you came in.

  2. 02

    We promise no health benefits

    You will never read here that Tinta "reduces anxiety" or "improves your wellbeing". The promise is psychological and modest: clarity for deciding, the habit of stopping to think, and an archive of your crossroads. We give no medical, legal or financial advice, and we replace no professional.

  3. 03

    The AI is always marked

    Every generated interpretation carries the label and the model in plain sight, without exception (AI Act, art. 50). The classical texts carry their provenance: what is canonical, what is tradition and what is modern synthesis. You will never know less than we do about where what you are reading comes from.

    No image is drawn by an AI

    The mandalas and hexagrams are SVG generated from the data of your cast: same coins, same drawing. Every stroke means something. Cinnabar red appears only where a line changes — if you see no red, nothing is changing, and that absence is information too.

  5. 05

    We do not punish you for missing a day

    No streaks in red, no badges, no countdowns. Two things are counted and both are celebrated: the days you showed up and the times you came back. A missed day can be repaired by writing its review later. The metric of this house is not never failing; it is coming back.

  6. 06

    Your journal is yours

    We do not sell data and we do not train models on what you write. The site you are reading loads not one font and not one resource from a third party: nobody knows you came by except us.

If you ever find Tinta breaking one of these six, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
